Craig Boldman Top Performer for Event Caricatures

Not to brag, but the badge below signifies that Craig Boldman is a  TOP PERFORMER for event caricatures for the third consecutive month! Click it to be transported to my GigSalad page.

Top Performer on GigSalad

What is GigSalad? It’s a resource for event planners and for individuals who are interested in hiring talent for their parties, wedding receptions, corporate events, etc. I don’t mention my live caricature work often enough, but I can be available for such appearances.

I customarily draw my popular super- caricatures at comic conventions, but I also do these fun side hustles, and enjoy interacting with people outside my customary circles.

Another great booking agency for me is The-Nose, which is where I originally took the plunge into live event caricatures. Tell Tad I said hi!

So, keep me in mind for your upcoming event. Caricatures are always very popular keepsakes and make occasions even more memorable.

Alternatively, I do commissions from my home studio, and you can find more information about that on my COMMISSIONS page.

Below are a few photos of my work at a recent event.

Caricature Commissions

If you’ve met me at a comic convention, you’ve likely found me hard at work on caricature commissions. These are typically drawings of individual fans, or couples, reimagined as their favorite super-heroes or fantasy characters.

As the pandemic has squelched my convention schedule temporarily, I’ve been doing more of those commissions at home, through orders I receive via e-mail. So, it’s time I highlight that branch of my work here on the blog.

[NOTE: At the end of this blog I’ll give details about how you can Place an order for a caricature.]

Digital Caricature Demo!

Here’s a little demonstration video, in preparation for doing digital caricatures at events in the coming year (up to now I’ve strictly done pen/paper caricatures). This was drawn on my iPad Pro.

My caricatures tend to be fairly mild, not too exaggerated. I intend to push that area of my drawing this year and hope to find a more extreme caricature style that I’m satisfied with.

For more info about my caricatures and portraits, click the caricature  tab at the top of the page. Or,  CLICK HERE to drop me a line.
